Why Might You Return To The Dealership Where You Bought Your New Vehicle?

Too many people make the mistake of assuming that the auto dealership is only good for the purchase of a new vehicle. However, you might not want to forget all about them after driving away in your newly purchased vehicle. Instead, take a few moments to consider why you might return for some additional auto dealership services. Here are some of those reasons:

Auto Detailing

After a while, you might find that your vehicle could use a detailing, both for the exterior and the interior. This is something that you could go elsewhere for, but you might find that you can get a better price by calling for a detailing appointment at the dealership that sold you your vehicle. Since they have many employees working in their detailing shop, they should also be able to get the job done a lot quicker than other places can.

Oil Changes

Look back through the paperwork you were given when you bought the vehicle. Some dealerships will offer free oil changes for the life of your loan. Others might give you your first oil change for free and then charge you for the rest. If you cannot find the paperwork, you can always call and ask about the pricing.

State Inspection Stickers

Every year, you have to take your vehicle to a certified station to have it inspected. If it passes the inspection, you are given a state inspection sticker that is placed on your windshield. Many auto dealerships will offer free inspections to anyone that bought a vehicle through them. Even though the cost of the inspection is not usually over the top, that is still money saved that can be put towards something else, such as the detailing of your vehicle. You may need to call in advance to schedule an appointment for an inspection.

With those few reasons in mind, you should find that it is going to be a lot easier for you to find reasons to head back to the dealership. Just make sure that you are calling for an appointment before just showing up there. This way, more complicated situations can be handled by appointment. Of course, depending on the size and capability of the dealership that sold you your vehicle, they might be able to handle things such as oil changes without making an appointment. Just call to clarify so you do not waste the time and gas money driving out there first.

About Me

Buying a New Car from an Auto Dealer

Hi. My name is Beth Wilson, and I want to thank you for stopping by my website. I recently purchased my very first new car. I’ve always had used cars in the past. To be honest, as excited as I was to be able to buy a new car, I was also scared. I had heard so many horror stories about car dealers ripping people off. Thankfully, my experience was nothing but pleasant. Prior to stepping foot into the car dealership, I did a good deal of research about the vehicles I was interested in. I was able to carry on an educated conversation with the salesperson and didn’t feel the least bit intimidated. I would like to share my shopping experience with you in the hope that you will find some valuable tips.
